TYPES OF CAR WASHES
We've been washing cars at Thomas Car Wash almost since there were cars, and in that time car washing has changed a lot. While names, types and services may change over time, you always get the same great clean from Thomas. Did you know that there are different kinds of car washes? Here are the types of modern car washes we offer.
EXTERIOR EXPRESS
CAR WASH
We have three Express Washes at Thomas Car Wash. This type of wash is currently the most popular style for new car washes in the United States. The express exterior model uses a conveyor to carries the vehicle and its people through a long building with wash equipment inside. The people and the car go through this tunnel during the wash process. Inside the tunnel, the automated car wash equipment does the washing and cleaning on the outside of the vehicle. In the tunnel wash, you stay in your vehicle as it's brought through the wash to complete the wash process.
After the wash, the people inside the vehicle may use our FREE vacuum stations & mat cleaners to clean the interior of their vehicle the way they like.
FULL SERVICE
CAR WASH
Two of our Thomas Car Wash locations offer full-service car wash services. At full-service car washes, the exterior of the car is washed mechanically with a trip through the wash tunnel, & at the end of the car wash, Thomas Car Wash crew dry the car manually and quickly clean the interior of the vehicle.
During the cleaning process, customers are outside of the vehicle, but they can watch their car being cleaned. During the wash, your vehicle is guided onto a conveyer belt to bring your car through the wash and all the automated wash processes. Before the wash, our crew will follow-up with an interior vacuum, dusting of the console, dash and cup holders. The experience is finished off with a hand towel dry.
INTERIOR & EXTERIOR DETAILING
If you're looking for deep cleaning and detailing services, we can also help with that at Thomas Car Wash! Full exterior and interior detailing services are available for booking at our Preston Indian Trail location.
Interior detailing includes services like vacuuming and shampooing carpets, while exterior detailing services focus on the condition of your vehicle's exterior: waxing and buffing. Whether you’re looking for a carpet shampoo, seat cleaning or ceramic hand wax, we’ve got you covered.

THE LITE
WASH
This wash is for cars that primarily sit in the garage and just need the dust knocked off. It's a quick exterior cleaning.
